BnB "Francisca" is my home, it is in the town center of Tortolì. It was my grandparent's home, Francisca and Battista, who had here is fotography lab . With the last refurbishments I wanted to create a cozy place and a craftshop where I can expose products made by the wiser artisans of the island. My home is warm and confortable, the kitchen and the terrace are convivial places where you can have relaxing moments.

Tortolì is the biggest city of the region of Ogliastra and the past it has been the capital of the Medioeval Giudicato di Ogliastra and the modern province . Ogliastra is an historical region set in the centre-eastern part of Sardinia, and it is known to be one of the wildest and charming area of the island, with beautiful beaches, fjords and coves and untouched sea. Ogliastra offers an inland part full of tradition, celebrations and interesting cultural events all to be discovered. Ogliastra has had two national records, being the less populated and the most long-lived italian province, with the highest number of centenarians among it people. Ogliastra is in fact one of the only five blue-zone existing in the World, a term used to identify an area, its lifestyle and the environment that results in a longevity world record: in Ogliastra there is an average of 16 centenarias every 50.000 inhabitans, compared to an average of 14 every 100.000 at national level. Ogliastra's people longevity is likely related to absence of pollution, warm climate, healthy and simple food and local wine consuption , called Cannonau.
