In the heart of the medieval village of Pontremoli, the capital and main center of the Historic Lunigiana. Overlooking the authentic Via Francigena and a stone's throw from important destinations (5 Terre, Porto Venere, Lucca, Pisa, Parma, Genoa etc.). In a renovated and newly furnished building. In a very central and quiet position, with free parking at 100 m and main services within walking distance. Excellent base for tourism or short business trips. wi-fi with optical fiber, satellite TV and climate.
I am Davide, father of two wonderful children and husband of a beautiful wife (Mary) who bears me. I was born in 1985 and I love everything that is music. I'm a member of a rock group (Patonarepublik) made up of friends who love Lunigiana, good food, and make a lot (I mean a lot) of noise. I love to travel and I have made a profession of travel. I am in fact a train driver. I love history and stories, meeting people and always learning new things. I love to cook and as a result, taste whatever is new to me. In a nutshell: I love life. My wife Mary and I will always be contactable.
Formerly called Sommoborgo, the characteristic district of San Nicolò is part of the original nucleus of Pontremoli. It incorporates the medieval "Porta Parma" (seat of access to the Museum of the Stele Statues), and is one of the two historic districts of the city that annually, since the Middle Ages, have battled in the traditional "Challenge of the Bonfires". San Nicolò overlooks the Via Francigena and is located at the foot of the Piagnaro Castle. Over the centuries it has hosted the passage of kings and emperors, monks, saints and pilgrims who went to Rome from all over Europe. In the Baroque period, together with the entire city, it witnessed the explosion of the Baroque, a style that left numerous buildings and churches with frescoes. Today San Nicolò is a quiet neighborhood, inhabited mainly by "local" residents, but where there is no shortage of "international" inhabitants, attracted by the charm and atmosphere of the historic center. The main services are easily reachable on foot.
