Casa al Borgo is located in the charming village of Ossuccio, in Tremezzina, one of the most evocative and historic areas of Como Lake. A long history, still partly visible in the stones of its numerous churches, in the archaeological remains of the opposite island (Comacina) and in its oldest villages. The apartment is in the heart of the town center, inside an ancient building that already existed before the medieval age and was subsequently renovated. The house is equipped with every comfort and is particularly suitable for three people. A large living room, with a small open kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed and a bathroom, will make your stay comfortable. Access to the building is located in Via del Santuario, a very suggestive ancient road in a strategic position between the lake shore and the surrounding mountains, which make the place unique. The ancient stone porch and the wooden door at the entrance to the building take you back over the centuries and allow access to a characteristic common courtyard set in the ancient stones of the village. Ossuccio is located in a strategic position between the two charming villages of Argegno (5.5 km away) and Lenno (1.9 km away), from where it is possible to take the Como Lake navigation ferries. The public boat service connects the major centers along the shores of Como Lake. However, on the shore of Lake Ossuccio there are private taxi boat services through which it is possible to navigate and discover the beauties of the lake. Near the "Casa al Borgo" there is the bus stop that connects with Como and Menaggio and Lugano, while in the nearby Borgo di Sala Comacina (about 900 meters away) there is the navigation pier of Como Lake. The suggestive greenway of Como Lake crosses the village of Ossuccio. The Greenway of Como Lake is a pleasant walk following the traces of the “Antica Strada Regina”, the ancient connecting road built by the Romans. This 10 km itinerary crosses ancient villages with admirable examples of architecture, runs alongside villas and gardens and offers suggestive views. "Casa al Borgo" is at the beginning of “Via del Santuario” which leads to the “Sacro Monte” of Ossuccio. Set in the hills above the lake at 400 meters above sea level, the Sacro Monte of Ossuccio is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular pilgrimage site. It overlooks the Comacina Island and winds along an avenue dotted with chapels. It is part of the nine-holy mountains in northern Italy, which together form an UNESCO site, a religious expression of the Baroque era which saw a series of thematic paths in the mountains with devotional chapels leaning along them. "Casa al Borgo" is located near the shore of Como Lake and the famous Greenway. On foot it is possible to reach restaurants where you can taste the typical dishes of the lake and the panoramic bars in front of the Comacina island, the only island of Como Lake reachable by taxi boat. A visit to the characteristic town of Bellagio, the pearl of the lake, and Varenna cannot be missed.
