We live in this place since 18 years and we're totally happy with it. It is a wonderful place of piace and silence, with a nature that is still unspoiled. Rita is a ceramic artist and Peter is landscape architect. We love to have people around and look forward to meet you here.

Property information

Casa della Nonna is a lovely apartment in the midst of a beautiful landscape of chestnut trees. The house has a wonderful garden around it and a great view on the valley. On the first floor there are 2 connected bedrooms. One of them has a double bed, the other has 2 single beds. The bathroom and kitchen are downstairs. In front of the kitchen you'll find a terrace in the sun and next to the house a great place in the shade of a pergola with dining table and barbecue. Sustainability: We use electricity from solar panels, renovations have been carried out with sustainable materials and the water comes from a source, also for the swimming pool. Moreover, all waste is collected separately as much as possible. Furthermore, degradable detergents are used for cleaning and washing.

Neighbourhood information

Podere di Maggio is located in the foothills of Monte Amiata, an ancient vulcano in the south east of Tuscany, one of the most beautiful parts of this region. The area is rich of nature parks, wildlife and hot water Spa's. For art and culture you can find Siena, Perugia, Orvieto and Assisi within an our from here. The Etruscan excavations around the wonderful villages Sorano and Pitigliano are only half an our from here. For swimming there are a few possibilities: the pool close to your house, the river at 10 minutes from here with crystal clear water. Further away, at about one our there is the Bolsena lake and at the other side the beautiful Tyrrhenian sea. But there is always the possibility of just doing nothing, waiting for time to pass by in the hammock under a tree.
