Casa Marce’ is a country homestead where one can discover the family friendly atmosphere of Tuscany. The name of the estate is “Sonno”, which means sleepy, and dates back to the 18th century, as a working farmstead, with a main house, farm buildings, and gardens, all next to an idyllic olive grove.The property is located along side the picturesque hill named “Torretta”, that oversees the town of Porcari, and offers an enchanting panorama of the Lucchese valley “ Valle delle Sei Miglia”.The hamlet which “Sonno” is part of, was originally built alongside an ancient castle (dated 1000 AD but now destroyed) and is situated along the Francigena pilgrimage route. Casa Marce’ is a short walk from the church of San Guisto, which dominates the views of the town and valley. The home offers 3 bedrooms, with views of the valley, with 10 beds: 1- Family Bedroom – accommodates 4 to 5 people with two separate rooms and an ensuite bathroom. 2- Matrimonial Bedroom – Queen bed or two single beds with external bathroom. 3- Triple Bedroom – Queen bed plus single or three single beds, with external bathroom. Abito a 'Sonno' dal 1998 quando, insieme ai miei familiari, ho deciso di trasferirmi dalla città di Lucca in campagna, nella casa dove hanno vissuto gli antenati di mio padre, per parte di sua mamma (ovvero mia nonna). Una numerosa famiglia che ha lasciato, del proprio vissuto, un bel ricordo attraverso le foto e i racconti dei parenti, nati e cresciuti in questa casa. Amo il contatto con la natura, e coltivo fin dalla giovane età la passione per le discipline umanistiche, in particolare l'Arte, alla quale mi sono avvicinata dapprima, come praticante dilettante, poi, studiandola all'università. L'ospitalità è sempre stata vissuta dalla mia famiglia con naturalità e questo mi ha incoraggiata a intraprendere l'attività di "Host", grazie alla quale posso mantenere viva la tradizione dell'accoglienza.
