Casale Lucciole is a 3-hectare property with a small olive grove, fruit orchard, vineyard, vegetable and herb gardens, and two restored traditional Italian stone farm buildings. This is a place of tranquility, gratitude, and beauty. Somewhere to waken the senses and calm the soul. Here, we believe in clean air, fresh water, and good food straight from our soil to your kitchen. So, we employ natural farming techniques to grow seasonal fruit, vegetables, and herbs, which we share with our guests. If you visit us between the months of May and July, you may even experience warm magical nights when, all across the property, darkness is overcome by the glitter of fireflies – or in Italian, lucciole!

Chelsey and Chris are South Africans with European heritage and a deep passion for Italian culture and history. They moved to Italy in 2023 to begin their country life together, and have since dedicated many hours to creating a tranquil, abundant, comfortable space for guests to enjoy and relax at Casale Lucciole.

Casale Lucciole is nestled in the Umbrian hills, with a view of the Monte Subasio park and Gualdo Tadino. Surrounded on all sides by green trees, breathtaking views, and several wonderful walking/hiking trails. A short drive to the medieval towns of Assisi and Nocera Umbra, and a 45-60 minute drive from the charming towns of Gubbio, Rasiglia, Bevagna, and the Montefalco wine region.
