Your guest apartment is 30 sqm, has a separate entrance, only 20 m from the parking space in a secured area. The guest flat has an exclusive terrace (25 sqm) where you can enjoy the stunning, colourful sunsets. Guests also have access to the spacious panoramic outdoor kitchen and a separate refrigerator ; there is also a kitchenette in the room. Healthy water from the nearby spring fountain is available free of charge. The spacious property of Cefalù Forest Hideout also offers various lounging options in the sun and shade with unique views. In the beautiful garden you can observe various species of geckos and lizards, especially the beautiful green lizards (Lacerta bilineata). Furthermore, Cefalù Forest Hideout is home to a small group of Sicilian tortoises, who don't mind to be observed during their favorite activities.

The well-maintained Via Del Giubileo Magno leads from the centre of Cefalù through the evergreen forest of the Madonie National Park on the western slope of Pizzo Sant'Angelo to the Santuario di Gibilmanna. A small turn-off halfway along the road leads you, after about 200 m, to a forest glade, where the Cefalù Forest Hideout is located. The main building of the Cefalù Forest Hideout with its original silhouette was designed in the 1970s by the Italian architect Prof. Dott. Arch. Michele Collura and, after a period of vacancy, was lavishly modernised and lovingly renovated from 2020-22 under ecological aspects. Behind the house, the tall oaks provide cooling shade and bathe the surroundings in a shimmering, enchanted light. In the opposite direction from the house, a breathtaking 180° view of the Tyrrhenian Sea unfolds, framed by Tuscany-like green hills. On clear days, you have distant views over the entire north coast of Sicily towards Palermo.

In Cefalù Forest Hideout you will stay in a unique atmosphere without giving up modern conveniences (and fast internet). You’ll find silence and relaxation around your exquisitely furnished apartment. From here you can reach the historic centre of Cefalù and the famous Lungomare (or one of the picturesque bays) in about 15 minutes. Cefalù Forest Hideout is the perfect starting point for excursions, e.g. to Castelbuono (35 min.) and to the authentic mountain villages (20 min.). Starting from the domicile you can go on long hikes in the Madonie or go for shorter walks to the Santuario di Gibilmanna and to the summit cross of Pizzo Sant'Angelo (1,081 m). Your hosts speak German, Italian and English. If desired, you will receive help on arrival and tips for authentic holiday experiences. Breakfast is prepared according to your individual wishes.
