Cherry House BnB was recently renovated and is on the second floor with mountain views from most windows. Surrounded by a large garden and terrace area for use throughout your stay the location is very quiet, yet private.
The small BnB consists of 3 bedrooms each with a comfortable queen size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The family room also has an extra single bed, accommodating three people; the bathroom has a shower stall and separate bath (with a view). The other two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
Located at the end of a dead end street within the small scenic hill town of Polinago, it is a short walk into the main street of town where there are two banks, a supermarket, as well as a butcher, baker and other mini-market; several bars, hair dresser, and paper shop, post office and 2 doctors complete the services available.
We provide an inclusive substantial breakfast and offer homely meals on request which include beer and wines.
We can advise guests of what there is to see and do in the surrounding area and can arrange tours to see how the Parmigiano Reggiano and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena are made or visit a mountain lake or small museums nearby.
David and Winnifred moved from Australia to the small town of Polinago in 2011 and enjoy experiencing daily life here in the real Italy.

Winnifred is a fluent Italian speaker and David provides all the technological assistance along with his knowledge of the many wines of Italy.

We can provide tours of the local mountain area, visiting small towns like Fiumalbo and magical mountain lakes like Lago Santo; or arrange intimate cooking classes, whatever your interest, we are happy to assist.
Half an hour away is the market town of Pavullo nel Frignano where you can find large supermarkets, weekly markets and other needs.
The owners are available to advise you of what to see and do in the surrounding area. Visit the recently discovered Mummies in Roccapelago; climb Monte Cimone or have a trout lunch sitting overlooking the mountain lake, Lago Santo. Alternatively enjoy organized walks with a qualified guide. Bring your mountain bikes (they can be stored on site) if you prefer to ride through the woods and visit the ancient monolith Ponte Ercole. Alternatively, relax in the quiet of the garden under the apple and pear trees and read.
Additional meals can be provided on request. We have an arrangement with a nearby relais to use their beautiful swimming pool for a small fee.
We provide a pickup and drop off service from either Bologna airport or railway station or Modena railway station. There is a fee for this with cost on request.
