The historic cottage made from Città della Pieve's famed red brick offers a luxury, open plan format inside, And outside, a private, large landscaped garden with patio and dining area. Making it the perfect place for family or friends to gather, or a couples romantic getaway.
Set over one floor with a full chefs kitchen, comfortable dining area and spacious lounge, with its Scan-eco wood burner and gas central heating also make the interior appealing during autumn, winter and springtime. Whilst from June to September our guests can enjoy a great nights sleep in air conditioned bedrooms. Another comfort is the modern bathroom with powerful rain shower, along with spacious, air conditioned bedrooms with integrated phone charging stations, blackout shutters, plenty of closet space and high quality linens.
While throughout the cottage large, south facing windows flood the rooms with light and offer uninterrupted views of the spectacular countryside, bringing to mind the famed landscapes of the artist Il Perugino, teacher of Raphael.

Or perhaps during the cooler months (November-March) snuggle up with throws and blankets to roast chestnuts beside the pot bellied garden stove immersed in the beautiful colours of the changing landscape.
The Cottage sits on the crest of a hill and its large, private, landscaped garden offers various comfortable seating areas in sunny and shaded outlooks, where you can sunbathe or while away the hours in comfort with a good book. Whilst the elevated terrace-garden with birchwood swing seat is the perfect place for either an aperitivo at sunset, Or at sunrise for meditative yoga or pilates to the sound of birdsong as the valley awakes.
I’m an Italian boy from OZ, a freelance writer, blogger and photographer living la dolce vita in Umbria with a passion for hospitality, fine food and wine, film, a good book and all things Italian.
Since moving to Italy from New York City my partner and I have spent nine blissful years in semi-retirement hosting dozens of family and friends, whilst touring the infinite treasures of Umbria, Tuscany and beyond.
We've had such fun sharing our 'Dolce Vita' that during the pandemic when an opportunity arose to purchase Grove Cottage we felt it the perfect time to create a vacation home for friends, family and of course visitors from near and far.
Having also spent decades working in the hospitality industry we consider ourselves well-placed to anticipate the needs of our guests, and you will find the cottage is packed with all you should need for a extra-special holiday.
We believe your holiday adventure should start the moment you arrive, so beforehand we will send you our regularly updated digital guide of all the best things to do, see and eat to help you plan your visit.
Or, if you have specific requirements we can help curate a personal itinerary that focuses on your own interests.
We do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you to this most extraordinary and beautiful part of Italy.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate in messaging me through this site.
