Originally from England, I have lived for many years in Florence, and love this beautiful city which I am lucky enough to call home. It is my pleasure to meet our guests and my absolute priority that they feel welcome and at home in our B&B.

In the 1850's, our property was home to the famous patriot Giuseppe Dolfi, who fought for the liberation of Florence and whose endeavours were instrumental in the eventual unification of Italy in 1861. Dolfi's bust adorns the facade of the building.

Borgo San Lorenzo is part of the pedestrians only area next to the Duomo in the heart of Florence, in the shopping and restaurant district. The street links Piazza Duomo to Piazza San Lorenzo, and the famous market of the same name. 100% safe (as is Florence in general), the lively and festive atmosphere of this part of town is immediately apparent as soon as you step out into the street from the main door of our building. With the Duomo less than 2 minutes walk away, the location makes Bel Duomo an ideal base for enjoying all that Florence has to offer.
