The house and pool (available June to September) are both for the exclusive use of the guests. There are no shared spaces or amenities. The house is situated in the small hamlet of Moretto, two miles below Piglio – famous for its Cesanese wine. It is set in a mountain-side olive grove, near the foot of Mount Scalambra, with beautiful sweeping views. Guests are looked after by our lovely neighbours, Ivana and Luigi. They only speak Italian, so if you need help, call me and I'll help translate!

Me and my brother inherited the house from our mother, who in turn inherited it from her father, who bought it in the 1950s whilst he was working in Rome. It has been our much loved holiday home for decades. We have recently done a lot of work to modernise the house, whilst keeping its rustic charm. I'll be able to answer calls most of the time, but may sometimes be busy. The neighbours, who manage the house, will be available most of the time to provide any help needed, but they will sometimes be out, so please message me if you have any questions, or need something.

Quiet, rural area, famous for its Cesanese wine. Great for complete relaxation with good food, a good book and a glass of Cesanese (red) or Passerina (white) wine. Lots of interesting medieval villages and towns to visit nearby. Rome easily accessible by bus or train, or drive to Anagnina Metro Station, park there and take the metro into Rome. Naples/Pompei a two-hour drive. The house is only a 10 minute drive from the Rome-Naples A1 motorway, 15 minute drive from Anagni station, with regular direct trains to Rome in approximately one hour, 45 minutes drive from the Rome circular (GRA), including the Anagnina Metro Station, where you can park and travel into Rome. It is two hours by car from Naples/Pompei and 1 hour 15 mins by car from the beach - Sabaudia/Terracina. Nearby towns include Anagni, "Città dei Papi," and the spa town of Fiuggi. Buses to Rome, Fiuggi and Piglio leave from very near the house but are infrequent. A car is highly recommended, as there are no supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance.
