Hi everyone, I am Federica and I run Il Giardino degli Ulivi near Cortona. For me, the love for this beautiful land and its fruits is a family tradition. It was my father who started the farming business by buying the farm where the agriturismo is now located. Today, we still grow cereals and sunflowers, and we also raise cattle. In our plans, we also have the cultivation of a vineyard to produce our own wine as well as other farm products. The history of our agritourism began in 2002 when my father and I decided to renovate this old farm about ten kilometres away from the current family farm. It took us three years to renovate the Giardino degli Ulivi, and we did it by faithfully preserving the original structures and materials, until we opened it to guests in 2005. Since 2012 I have been personally in charge of the reception of our guests and it has been a great joy to receive visits from all over the world. Meeting different cultures fascinates me and makes me feel part of the world, since, between family and the farm, I don't have much time left to travel, one of my passions. All the time I have I dedicate to my true passion, Il Giardino degli Ulivi, and to everything that happens in this magical place every time we receive a guest. Il Giardino degli Ulivi is located near to Cortona, a tipical italian medieval town, and nearby there are Etruscan areas of archaeological interest. Cortona is also very close to Umbria, which makes it possible to visit the area around Lake Trasimeno, Perugia or Todi.
