IL Portico is a modern Campidanese house with three bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and private balcony. Situated on the outskirts of the village, a short distance from the S.S. 131. This puts us in a strategic central position enabling guests to reach within one day most of the tourist sights in Sardinia. A 30 min drive from the beautiful beaches of the Costa Verde and 20 min from Barumini and the high plains of Monte Arci where people can enjoy beautiful walks. Our quiet country roads are ideal for cycling which will take you to some of the most breathtaking views of Sardinia, this pastime is best enjoyed from September to May.

I was born in Yorkshire England and after graduating from Catering college I spent many years in the hospitality industry including Hotels and Restaurants which I enjoyed very much and still do. During these years I met Piero from Sardinia, a few years later we married and eventually opened a Sardinian Restaurant together in England. on our many visits to Sardinia on holidays I fell in love with the Island and we decided to build a house here which is now IL Portico. We moved here permanently in the year 2000 and have been operating as the Bed and Breakfast IL Portico since 2003.

Uras has it's very own Nuraghe complex " Sa Domu Beccia " on the outskirts of the village. An important archaeological site, recently excavated and is now accessible to walk around. I have put some photos on our photo gallery for you to see.
