La Corte di Lu is a beautiful country house, surrounded by the hills and woods of Asti. We renovated the house respecting its original features, and now it is ready to welcome families and groups of friends. The house is big enough for everyone to have their space and comes with great gathering areas. It is conveniently located - shops and sights are all within easy access - and the towns of Asti, Rocca d'arazzo, Agliano and Canelli are only a few kilometers away.
I've always wanted to meet new people and show them my region. Anyone who stays here is welcomed the same way a dear friend would be, and I can’t wait to share this beautiful corner of Italy with you! CIR 005093-RCH-00001H00006
The town of Rocca d'Arazzo dominates the Tanaro Valley. In the village there are 2 grocery stores and a small restaurant serving typical Piedmontese cuisine. Wine production, particularly the Barbera variety, is one of the main economic drivers in the area, giving you plenty of chances to try a glass of these renowned reds. Even better if accompanied by traditional agnolotti (stuffed pasta), which the local Agnolotto and Barbera Festival is all about. The nearby castle of Rocca d'Arazzo was a royal fortress for the duchy under the rule of Gian Galeazzo Visconti (1392). It was destroyed in 1644 during the Franco-Spanish war; only a few remains of the walls stand today. La Corte di Lu is also close to Asti, where in Autumn there are concerts and many events related to the truffle and the local food and wine culture - a must if you’re in the area at that time of the year! Other nearby sights include Alba, Asti, Canelli, Nizza Monferrato, Agliano Terme Barbaresco, Santo Stefano Belbo amongst others.
