The accommodation is in the hearth of Lucca’s countryside, in the middle of an organic farm that produces wine and olive oil: this is the perfect place for those looking for peace, rest and a quiet place to stay. “ L’orto dei Bruchi “ has two farmhouses that have been restored without modifying their rural retreat but maintaining the original style (stone walls, ceilings with wooden beams) called Leccio, name taken from the river that passes near by. Both houses have a separate entrance overlooking the garden, kitchen, living room, fireplace, bathroom. All rooms have wood-beamed ceilings, the windows overlook the beautiful panorama of the plain of Lucca. This family-run property provides barbecue facilities and the use of the Farm's pool at the Villa.

I've done so many interesting things in my life: Navy Helicopter Pilot, Farmer at Fattoria di Petrognano, Financial Advisor, Renewable Energy Specialist and now my wife and I have returned to stay at Petrognano, taking care of our guests. Luisa is also a waldorf teacher and I dedicate myself creating a synergic vegetable garden on the terraces next to our home with ancient varieties of vegetables, I home make bread i with antique grains and sourdough, I love cooking and with my wife we follow blues, jazz and folk music.
