The area is safe, green, suitable for beautiful walks; 500 meters away is the Cucco restaurant, with good Ligurian cuisine, with tables under a beautiful grape canopy. A few kilometers away is Finalborgo, the splendid medieval town, where in August an important event is celebrated recalling the sixteenth-century history of the city, with figures, flag-wavers and other related things. The very characteristic town is full of trattorias and shops in the beautiful caruggi (Ligurian streets). Overlooking it is Castel Govone, with its splendid diamond tower, which can be visited with guides, and Castel San Giovanni, a Spanish fortress. In summer the town is connected to Finale center by a fun train. Important to mention the enduro and trekking tracks, the rock climbing gyms of Feglino, a few km away, are internationally known; an important stage of the enduro world championships takes place at the end of September. A few km away there are also large beaches, many of which are free, especially around the port, perhaps the most beautiful.
