The Baglio Perciata farm is located at the foot of the hill in the district of the same name, on the probable site of the fortified farm of Petra Perzata, 5 km from Camporeale. In this enchanted place , gateway to the Belice Valley, inhabited since prehistoric times ,time seems to have stood still. Here have left their traces Sicans, Elymians, Phoenicians and Greeks. The Belice Valley, now between the provinces of Palermo,Trapani and Agrigento ,having been frequented and populated since prehistoric times, because of its location along the "via del Mare" that connected the hinterland, , is a mine of archaeological sites and places to visit. In the Masseria area,on cozzo Perciata, there is a drilled monolith, which would mark the summer solstice.. This, the archaeologists explain , is a perforated stone that is about eight kilometers from the other of contrada Argivocalotto also astronomically oriented" which marks the winter solstice
Is managed by young entrepreneurs who produce ancient grains,chickpeas, lentils , olives and grapes and certify the organic authenticity .Caper plants offer in the month of May their fragrant and precious fruits that together with the plants of laurel, oregano ,sage,rosemary and lavender release into the air a kaleidoscope of Mediterranean scents .It certainly can not miss one of the typical elements of the 'insular habitat consisting of the thorny presence of prickly pears.
