The Residence "Le vie del Mosto" is located in a strategic position immersed in the suggestive location of the Sassi of Matera. It is very close to all the places of interest in the city, only 400 metres walk from the nearby public street parking and covered parking. The name derives from the particular position because right where our structure stands today there was the presence of numerous historical wine cellars. Matera with its hills and plains boasts an ancient tradition in the cultivation of excellent vines and therefore in the production of wines. For this reason, numerous wine cellars were built in the Sassi, digging into the tuffaceous bank, which still today enrich a heritage of tradition and rural culture, such as our beautiful breakfast room: entirely dug into the tuff, renovated respecting the authenticity of the place, which turned out to be an old wine cellar, where you can enjoy an excellent buffet breakfast with local products. The rooms of the Residence are full comfort, with private bathroom, organic toiletries, satellite TV and free wifi throughout the hotel. Le vie del Mosto is located a few steps from the central square, in the heart of the Sassi di Matera. The name comes from its excellent location for wine production, so much so that the breakfast room is housed in an old wine cellar completely excavated in the rock. From the upper floor there is a suggestive view of the city's cathedral.
