公司信息
San Ottaviano has been in the Neri family for four generations. Originally bought as a working farm much larger than the current 250+ hectares, it has been progressively evolving over the years. Beginning as a large estate, the property housed multiple families who contributed to the growth and prosperity of the land. They maintained an on-site school, blacksmith, oil mill and other services. The main activities were olive and sheep farming.
There is no known date for the farm’s construction, which gives us an idea that it’s just old! The architecture of the main structure suggests that it used to have a lookout tower. Most of the original buildings are still standing and have been restored to withstand many more years of history.
The transformation into an agriturismo was started in 1994 by Marco Neri and now Francesco, his son, has been running the farm for the past 13 years. This year the farm earned its organic certification. Francesco is constantly evolving and expanding their piece of historical paradise to adapt to new markets, while at the same time maintaining the agricultural aspect of their work.

周边信息
The closest town is the small village of Suvereto, a wonderful destination for food, culture and events. While offering many festivals and social activities, it retains the charm of an ancient medieval walled village.
The closest beaches are about 30 km away and are some of the prettiest in Tuscany: the Gulf of Follonica, the Gulf of Baratti and San Vincenzo. The first two have received the Blue Flag for their sandy beaches with a view of Elba. The depth of the water near the shore on these beaches is low enough for children to play and swim. Follonica and San Vincenzo are also great for shopping and nightlife.
From the agriturismo you can easily reach Pisa and Siena (about 100 km); Florence is about 125 km; the beautiful medieval towns of Volterra and San Gimignano can be reached in a day trip (60 km and 90 km); Massa Marittima, a known city of historical value is only 36 km away. And don’t forget Bolgheri, the most famous wine destination in all of Italy at only 45 minutes away.
The ferry to the Island of Elba, which leaves from Piombino, is about a 30 minute drive.
Some other special nearby attractions include national parks and hotsprings, like the Biancane park an Mubia museum in Monterotondo marittimo
