Residenza Matilde is located in a building of 1400 modified in the Bourbon period by the will of the King of Naples Gioacchino Murat; in particular, five rooms out of six have barrel vaults made with splendid red brick bricks, while in the reception there are two imposing pillars made of tuff and bricks. For all guests staying in the Residenza Matilde from Friday to Sunday, a free visit is offered to the splendid Bourbon Tunnel, considered, by the main tour operators and specialized magazines, the most beautiful underground route of the city of Naples.The rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, en-suite bathroom with chromotherapy, kettle with tea, Nescafé, available for a pleasant break, relaxation in the room. Although it is located in the historic center, the structure is very quiet compared to the adjacent streets.

Located in Spaccanapoli, in the historic center, Residenza Matilde is very close to the main attractions of the city. We are within walking distance of the Church of Santa Chiara, Piazza del Gesù and Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and the Cappella S. Severo. Nearby places of interest include the splendid Bourbon Gallery, the city's most beautiful underground route (1.8 km), the Maschio Angioino (1.7 km), the National Archaeological Museum (1.0 km) and the Church of Saints Philip and James (300 m).
