Trani is known since the Middle Ages, you think, for example to "Ordinamenta Maris". Its unique cathedral on the sea as well as its Swabian Castle are known throughout the world. The old town is all built in white stone, extracted locally and this is why it's called the city of stone. All the old town and port area are home to a myriad of cafes and typical restaurants where you can dine, have a drink, dance or just enjoy the nightlife in Trani.
