The flat in Via Lombardini overlooks a private courtyard surrounded by greenery, a flowery corner in which to relax and enjoy unexpected tranquillity, all within a typical Milanese railing house. A small table outside for the exclusive use of the flat will allow you to have delicious breakfasts outside on sunny days. The newly renovated accommodation offers guests a mezzanine French bed with a walk-in wardrobe underneath and a small work station. The comfortable sofa, which in turn -and on request- can become a comfortable double bed, is in front of a large smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other apps available from a super-fast Wi-FI network. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave oven, a small dishwasher and an espresso machine. The bathroom, divided into two spaces, is complete with shower, bidet and equipped with many accessories. The designer furniture and parquet floor make the room an elegant and comfortable space. For lovers of Italian cuisine or those curious to taste new recipes, it will be possible to request - subject to availability - a gourmand dinner with our home-chef and Host Fabio.
Its strategic position, on the south-west of the city really close to the west ring road, which connects to the main highways, is very convenient for getting around by any type of means of transport.
Right outside the house there's Tram 2's stop, which, during its route, stops in different areas of Naviglio Grande, in Porta Genova's subway station M2 (which is connected to the whole metro network of Milan) until it arrives in Piazza Duomo (more or less 14 minutes) main destination for shopping.
In just a few minutes, it's easy to go by foot to Italian and ethnic restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, tobacconists and lots of useful shops of every type, plus there's a very well- stocked supermarket just 5 minutes away.
Fabio was born in Milan, and today he still lives on the Navigli, which, in the years, he saw transforming from an area of washerwomen and blue overalls to one of the most beloved and we'll known districts of Milan. Since he was young, he's always been close with the world of catering and hotels, first through his job as entertainer for one of the most important companies in the sector, then through different roles, until he'd eventually arrive in the kitchen, his greatest passion. In the year 2000 he opens his restaurant "Le Due Facce", obviously on Navigli in Milan, and in just a couple of years he succeeds in making it become one of the most appreciated of the whole area. In 2006 he founded a company based on the production of art and design, and, by taking care of the organization of all the different events, he's able to travel the world, from Dubai to Shanghai, from Frankfort to Paris.
In 2016 he goes back to the kitchen, with a project that involves vegan and healthy cuisine, project that leads him to experiencing with different ingredients and recipes.
The Navigli's district is one of the most loved and well known in Milan for its beauty and for the lively nightlife that characterizes it. It's located to the South of the city, next to very important monuments worth visiting like St. Eustorgio's Basilica or St. Lorenzo's at the Columns (important zone for the nightlife), and it also offers the possibility to take a walk on the riversides of Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese, and also to stop for a drink or for some shopping in one of the several artisan workshops.
Thereabouts it's possible to admire the famous "railing buildings", from old Milan, where it's possible to enter the residences through galleries visible from the upper floors of the facades.
With a short walk, it's easy to get to the pedestrian area of Naviglio Grande and get to the
Darsena, the ancient dock of the city. Wandering around the area will for sure offer you the ideal place to have an aperitif with friends or to enjoy Milan's typical dishes.
If you love bicycles, cycling along the Naviglio Grande is one of the most relaxing and loved activity by Milan citizens during summertime.
This characteristic pedestrian area, every Saturday morning, hosts the Sinigaglia street market (also known as flea market); and, every last Sunday of the month, it hosts the most famous and sought-after antiques and vintage market in Milan. There also are lots of different events in weekends all throughout the year.
