The Belforti Tower is an amazing place. Its power is in the huge stone walls, the majestic rooms and the incredible views all around. It stands on the top of a hill and overhangs a fabulous village and an astonishing spot of country side. People often tell us that from the pictures you can't realize how beautiful is this place but we are always happy to see the wonder in their eyes when they're here.

We are a family of five, Luca and Emilia with our three boys, plus our farmer resident friend Antonio. We moved here from Rome in 2014. We practice permaculture and we love growing rare vegetables, beautiful chicken and pigeon breeds, bees and pond creatures. We are also growing more and more fruit trees and currants that can make tasty and interesting anyone's stay. And we have our oil production! We have a total passion for nature that we express harvesting wild herbs, mushrooms, fruits and fish. We also love our little village and try to improve the community nets with love and life.

Our area is special for people interested in nature and art that don't want the crowds the main tuscan cities. Volterra is 20 minutes car and is astonishing for it's ancient structures, museums, restaurants and shops. Cecina, 35 minutes by car, has marvelous beaches. For us the best place is "Il masso delle fanciulle", a hidden river spot 35 minutes from the tower where it's possible to swim in clear waters surrounded by a pristine nature. In my opinion it's the most beautiful place in the world
