Company information

I was born and raised in Kenya, East Africa but have travelled and lived in many countries. After marrying my Italian husband in South Africa, we decided to return to his birth city, Florence, where we settled onto his family owned wine/olive farm in San Casciano in Val di Pesa (20 minutes south of Florence). We have lived here since February, 2000 with our two sons. In the summer months we rent out two of our homes on the same farm on a weekly/self catering basis. I joined Airbnb recently to rent out 'La Luna in the Chianti', which sleeps up to 14 people.

Property information

Casavecchia Farm nestles on a 45-acre farm of olive groves and vineyards and it's composed by La Villa (once owned by the famous wine-growing family, Antinori) accommodating 12 people, was built in the 13th century, Il Giogo accommodating 14 people and Il Gallo accommodating 4 people were built in the 19th century - they are all available individually or together for rental. Casavecchia is conveniently located for people who want to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa and other fascinating historical towns. The entire Casavecchia Farm features an authentic wine cellar, 2 swimming pools, terraces, pergolas and gardens, vineyards, all framed by the countryside’s outstanding natural beauty.

Villa Casavecchia is located on the outskirts of San Casciano Val di Pesa, a small town halfway between Florence and Siena, in the centre of the Chianti region with it’s beauty of rolling hills and magnificent vistas, vineyards and olive groves. The town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa is on the old road connecting Florence and Siena. Close to San Gimignano, Volterra, the “secret” city of Arezzo, Pisa and Lucca. Easy trips to the seaside town of Forte Dei Marmi and southern Maremma - San Casciano in Val di Pesa is called the center of Tuscany, and it really is.....just like our Farm. Florence Airport is a 30 minute drive door-to-door and Pisa Airport one hour drive. Santa Maria Novella railway station links Florence with many daily regional trains.
