We are in the historic center of Catania, from which it is possible to fully experience the city, exploring it without having to use any means of transport. You will be able to walk through the streets admiring the Sicilian baroque in all its splendor. Looking out from the balcony you can admire the Ursino castle of Catania was built by Frederick II of Swabia in the 13th century. The manor had a certain visibility during the Sicilian Vespers, as the seat of parliament and, later, residence of the Sovereigns of Sicily of the Aragonese dynasty including Frederick III. A few steps from the Ursino Castle you come across an ancient well entirely covered by lava stone from the 1669 eruption. A legendary place, where once upon a time, right at the bottom of the waters flowing there, reddish colored spots were visible. Moving about 100 meters you will find the street of umbrellas, one of the liveliest and most "instagrammable" corners of Catania.
