◆2011
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, I began to feel uncomfortable with the stress-filled society created by Japan's excessive convenience.
I made a bold choice to disconnect from mobile phones and the internet, and spent two months backpacking through Southeast Asia — without knowing the language or geography.
Living with nothing but what I carried, I came to truly appreciate the value of human connection.
◆2016
That journey inspired me to create a place where people of all ages could gather, connect, and talk.
I thought, “A crepe shop is the perfect place where anyone can drop by.” So I opened a crepe café in Matsuyama City.
◆2021
As part of a local initiative to repurpose vacant homes, I renovated my grandfather's traditional house and opened Guesthouse Omoya.
I would be delighted if visitors from all over Japan and abroad could experience the beauty and culture of Ehime.
Blessed with the sea, mountains, and rivers, Ehime is a naturally rich and welcoming place.
I hope you'll come visit and enjoy everything it has to offer.
