508 / 5,000 "Hostel Minka Matsumoto" is a renovated accommodation facility from a private house built in the Taisho and Showa periods. Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats. Bedding is down comforters. Sheets are clean white. Free parking is available. We will store your luggage for you. Matsumoto Castle can be seen from the small window on the second floor. Please relax and unwind. Accommodates 2 to 8 people. Children under 2 years old are not allowed to stay. Any guests over this age will be charged the same as adults. Kitchen, shower, and toilet are shared. If you book two rooms, there will be no other guests. You can use the room exclusively.
I was born and raised in Matsumoto City. I will be sharing information I know about the area around Matsumoto Castle and Nagano Prefecture. Surrounded by the blue skies and beautiful nature of the Utsukushigahara Plateau and the Northern Alps, I farm using natural farming methods without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers. I enjoy living in harmony with nature. I pick wild vegetables in the spring and hunt for mushrooms in the fall. I also go hiking in the nearby mountains and to hot springs. I also love traveling. When I have an idea, I act immediately. I sell online under the name Azumino Eco. I run Hostel Minka Matsumoto. My husband and I run a farm stay called "Yama-chan". Please support us.
If you come to Matsumoto, Matsumoto Castle and Kamikochi are must-sees. Less than 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto Station. 1 minute walk to Matsumoto Castle, Japan's oldest national treasure. 10 minutes walk to Kaichi Elementary School, a designated national treasure. Perfect location for sightseeing.
