This farmhouse inn was renovated by a couple over the course of two years from a 140-year-old traditional house. This is not an ordinary hotel, but an inn where you can experience the richness and inconvenience of rural life. There is no TV or convenience store nearby. Sometimes insects also visit.
This inn is recommended for those who want to enjoy rural life, such as traditional Goemon baths and egg and vegetable harvesting experiences. Although we are still far from being 100% self-sufficient, the couple is working to increase our self-sufficiency rate.

If you want to enjoy Fukui to the fullest, staying in the countryside is the best option. The Okuetsu region, including the Kuzuryu River, is a rich area surrounded by spring water and nature, surrounded by mountains and rivers. We hope you will visit the Dinosaur Museum and enjoy a rural stay unique to Fukui.
There is an infinite margin of "nothing" in our traditional houses and villages. What they have is a rich lifestyle, one that has long been valued in Japan: "daily life" and "the leisurely flow of time." The 140-year-old thatched roof house is a symbol of this village, and a treasure that the villagers have carefully protected.
We hope you will come and stay in Yoshimine village and this old house, and have a stay that will warm you to the core of both body and soul. The thatched roof house, the piping hot Goemon bath, 30 lively chickens running around, and myself, the couple, are waiting for you! We look forward to your reservation!
In August 2021, my husband and I moved to Eiheiji Town to turn my grandmother's house, a 140-year-old thatched roof house, into a guesthouse. Now it has become a good old-fashioned guesthouse that has been renovated, but when we first moved here, it was a rundown old house that was practically a ruin. I still vividly remember the two of us standing there at the entrance, stunned. We somehow managed to overcome that dilapidated period, and after two years of renovation, the guesthouse was finally born.
We renovated most of the rooms ourselves. By "we" we don't just mean my husband and I, but also local people, friends who visit, and travelers who have come from all over the country. We cherished the process and time of creating this guesthouse together, and it took two years to complete. We wanted to somehow preserve and utilize the old house! I think the most attractive thing about this guesthouse is the time we spent with everyone who came together with that desire and worked on the project together. We hope that guests who come to stay at the inn will not only enjoy the completed facility, but also get a sense of the history and story that went into its creation.
This is an old-style inn located in a satoyama village surrounded by fields and mountains. You can enjoy the satoyama scenery of the four seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring, rice farming in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snow-covered scenery in winter. We would like people who are interested in Japanese satoyama and rural life to stay here! (^^)
