I'm a family of four adopted cats, all formerly rescue animals. Originally from the Tokai region, I lived in Tokyo for 12 years starting from university. Eventually, I was drawn to the wide open skies, crisp air, and the beauty of snowy landscapes, which led me to move to Iwate. As an avid Airbnb user myself, I find it refreshing and enjoyable to experience local life in each place I visit—something you don’t get from hotels. I hope guests can enjoy the traditional rural scenery and the changing faces of nature throughout the seasons. This area offers longer springs and autumns than many other parts of Japan—and above all, the snowy landscapes here are truly stunning. Whenever snow begins to fall quietly, I find myself stopping whatever I’m doing just to watch. I fell in love at first sight with this charming, Ghibli-like old house, and spent a full year renovating it through DIY. Though still a beginner, I also enjoy gardening and small-scale farming from spring through autumn. The surrounding landscape is incredibly calming, and on days without guests, I often come here just to tend the garden and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
