High Ranking Samurai House made by Miyadaiku craftsmen. Armor and family crest throughout with a large Tea House connected by an outdoor wooden staircase. Waterfall, 2 Koi ponds, expansive Japanese garden. Featured on Japan Film Locations (all together) dot com as Samurai House filming location. Just 20min away from the dramatic sacred peaks of Hikosan and Hikosan Jingu. Situated at the foot of the legendary mountain fortress of Ganjaku Castle where samurai legend Kojiro Sasaki refined his unbeatable sword technique, (until his famous battle with Miyamoto Musashi) this is a place where real Japan still exists and can be enjoyed visually and spiritually.
Well traveled hosts who love to share this amazing location and history with wonderful people.
Miyamoto Musashi was born near Hikosan and his father was a Hikosan Yamabushi. His rival, Sasaki Kojiro was born on our mountain and refined his sword technique here. Recently opened to outsiders, this is the most beautiful and historical mountain passage area in Japan.
