This is a lovely traditional country house that has been beautifully restored with some modern touches. It is located near to the fishing village of Ahangama famous for its stilt fishermen, and about 30 mins from the historic town of Galle.
The house now boasts a polished terrazo floor that reflects the light at all angles and has 4 ensuite bedrooms, all with air conditioning. The bathroms in three of the bedrooms have openair showers so if showering under the stars ticks a romanitc box on your boulevard then you will love this.
In fact we have to say the whole house has a romantic feeling to it. It is warm , inviting, friendly and welcoming. The staff here are never without a fabulous genuine smile that is infectious.
The blue tiled pool contrasts with the lush green of the garden and has an infiniti edge at one end giving the feeling of looking over a water fall. Large sun loungers and a pool pavilion mean that you do not have far to walk if the heat of the baking sun gets too much.
Whilst Coconut Grove is not on the beach it is very close to fabulous beaches and there are a never ending supply of tuk tuks that will ferry you around. But anyway everyone goes to the be

You’ll appreciate that we (humans) are guests in a world dominated by animals. Some of them “bark” (dogs and monkeys), some “mow” (peacock), others “sing” (birds) and we have them all in and around our garden. Fortunately we do not suffer from mosquitoes but if you do feel them around just ask Kumudu to put some coils out.
