I am a Sri Lankan/British national and have lived and worked in Europe for over 15 years and traveled to over 40 countries for my work or for leisure. I am bringing in this international exposure and experience to provide my guests with something special but still affordable. I love cooking, reading, writing and drawing. Currently I am working on a part-time basis for various charitable organizations on capacity building, training, organizational development, change management and conflict mitigation. But I am dreaming of retiring from all that and dedicating myself to reading, writing and drawing.

The property is situated just outside Colombo City limits between Nawala and Nugegoda. Off the main road, in a private road with a quiet and decent neighborhood. I have been living here since 2007 and just got it renovated to provide accommodation for short term international travelers. The idea is to provide private space for each guest. So, I have included a modern bathroom in each room and a balcony overlooking the greenery, where a guest can sit and read a book or work on the laptop. The property was originally designed by renowned architect Melroy Perera and the recent renovations were guided by Architect Asanga Amarasinghe. We tried our best to keep the natural light and air floor uninterrupted as was originally planned. So, the recent work was focused on improving quality, adding attached bathrooms and upgrading the facilities. I am managing Majestic Luxury Apartments in Nuwaraeliya, Sri Lanka since April 2014 and have been having a customer review score of 8.2 since inception. This is an indication as to what I am doing to keep my guests happy. I will do the same or more in Colombo.

The private road where the property is situated has approximately 10 houses and the owners are professionals. The area can be very quit during the day except for sounds of birds and squirrels. Since there is a 40 feet reservation land behind the property, various birds could be seen in the garden and around throughout the day. The property is very close to Open University and Recreational ground (Diyatha Uyana – water park) in the area. Lanka Hospital, Asian International School, Asiri Surgical Hospitals are also just 10 minutes’ drive from the property. There are various restaurants including Pizza Hut, Steam Boat that provide Japanese, Chinese and Thai cousins, Food Wave which offers wonderful vegetarian meals within one kilometer or less.
