Experience a premium Sri Lankan vacation at Samudrawasa, our beautiful colonial villa in Ambalangoda, Galle. Built in 1901, it has been renovated to a very high standard and is now a laid-back, luxury retreat sleeping 6-12. A private pool to the front of the house is the perfect place to cool off, and our beach house is a stones throw away. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and A/C. Breakfast is included in the price; our charming staff can also prepare other meals on request. Wifi available.
Samudrawasa was purchased in 2012 as a virtually derelict villa, with holes in the roof and missing doors and windows. With the help of Kingsley, who has been with us since day one, we rebuilt, reroofed, furnished, and extended our seaside villa in the style of the late colonial period, carefully sourcing furniture to match. In 2018, we added a beach house right on the sand, which you are welcome to use free of charge.
