My name is Akila Sampath and I'm currently in my thirties living in Dubai. I Work As a Coach at the University. My passions include travelling, as well as exploring new things. Some of my hobbies are swimming, badminton, cricket, and soccer. On behalf of The Sanctuary Cove Guest House team, we would love to welcome you to Polonnaruwa while also ensuring an amazing stay with us that you'll always remember.

The Polonnaruwa Ancient City and Ruins can be enjoyed while staying at the Sanctuary Cove Guest House. You can freely visit both the Archaeological Museum and Lake Site within a short ten minute walk from the guest house. They also offer free parking and internet access. All rooms come with an attached toilet equipped with amenities such as a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a fan. You can select between a Sri Lankan or intercontinental breakfast which is freshly prepared by Amma. The sanctuary also organizes chairs for cars or bikes to fully appreciate viewing the wonderful ancient city of Polonnaruwa along with its ancient ruins. In addition, they offer elephant safari tours too. After enjoying a detailed safari tour around Polonnaruwa's tourist attractions, guests can wind down in their large garden or dining area.

In ten minutes, you can access the ruins and appreciate some nice scenery. Both bus stations are two minutes away, while the post office, local market, ATM, hospital, and tourist police station are all five minutes away. The lakes and canals are approximately five minutes from the guest house.
