Sandasaranay (meaning moon blessed) is situated only 5 minute walk from the main Galle road in Thiranagama. It's situation is we think perfect as it is quiet and peaceful with established garden and amidst trees,plants and bird life but still within easy reach of beach,restaurants and Hikkaduwa amenities. The property is clean and airey and has large tiled lounge/dining area with all rooms leading off this. Two main bedrooms have king size doubles,one of which has a large ensuite shower room/toilet..These two rooms have aircon and ceiling fans. The other two rooms have large single beds and ceiling fans. There is a large spacious shower room /toilet serving the other rooms.There is a fitted kitchen with fridge freezer and various appliances for your use. One very popular feature much loved at Sandasaranay is the outside garden retreat with its lighting and ceiling fan where you can enjoy your breakfast or evening glass of wine or just sit and watch the kingfishers and squirrels.

Sandasaranay is managed by a lovely friendly Srilankan couple who live within the grounds in a separate building. Udesh and Visharka will between them prepare breakfast if you require it as well as traditional cooked Srilankan dishes for lunches or evening meals. Udesh will pick you up and return you to the airport and offer taxying in his tuk tuk or arrange longer trips if you so wish in an air conditioned vehicle. Udesh will have all the information you would need regarding what to see where to go,recommended restaurants and bars and any thing else. They also will change bedding and see to laundry when you require. Please note any meals provided will incur separate but reasonable charges.

The Hikkaduwa area is a very popular place in the southern province of Srilanka.Known for its diving and surfing it is popular with tourists from all over the world. With It's friendly locals big choice of restaurants and bars and shops it appeals to all. There are also the lovely colourful Buddhist temples to see. About 15 km down the road is the ancient town of Galle which has the old Galle fort with It's lovely restaurants museum and shops and famous cricket ground.Out of the fort the hussle and bussel of town draws you in. Local things to see include a visit to the turtle farm, a trip out whale watching.and river trips to mention a few. There are many places of interest and sights further inland that require a night or two away. These include visits to tea plantation country , Kandy for the tooth temple and nearby fabulous gardens, The amazing Sigiriya rock fortress and national parks and safari trips.Plenty more too. Srilankan is a place full of diversity and just amazing.
