The Shaka Collection started in 2019 when the Petersen family fell in love with Hiriketiya. The bay was idyllic and kids and family had the best time in the turquoise ocean under the Indian Ocean Sunshine on the fringed palm tree beach . We decided to build a home here that we could visit the Bay as often as we could! We live in the big city life in Dubai and the appeal of nature draws us in so magnetically . Shaka House was the first property that came to life and is a 5 star rated superhost status . Our house is at the top of the hill and headland in Hiriketiya. It has 3 bedrooms and an outdoor pation overlooking the pool. Shaka Villa and Shaka Bay are the new additions to the portfolio of listngs and each are unique in their offering . Shaka bay is the smaller of the 3 properties and closest to the beach. Shaka Bay has 2 bedrooms is fully airconditioned and has a cosy setting in a tropical Jungle garden . Future plans are to add a plunge pool :) Donna is my sister and she is the star of the show for managing our properties in Sri Lanka , She lives the island life and is there to assist in guiding our guests on their adventures and explorations.

Staying at Shaka Bay makes you close to everything! Such a cosy home near the beach, restaurants & bustle. Shaka Bay is only meters from the famous Surfing Beach, Hiriketiya bay . You can go on foot with your surfboards straight to the waves or to the nearby restaurants and bars .We have a jungle garden in the back with an outdoor Patio and Bbq /Braai area .The house has a spacious undercover patio on the front with outdoor dining table .Inside is a spacious lounge & 2 king Size Rooms Our Property is located on Hiriketiya Road very close to Dots Bay and the beach bustle . Our entrance gate leads you through a garden path to an undercover patio and dining area. There is another under cover patio at the back of the house. Our front door takes you through the to an Airconditioned lounge area with sofas to relax on after a hot beach day of sun and salt . The two bedrooms have Airconditioners, fans and King Size beds with a hanging shelf area for clothes. The kitchen is cute and equipped with fridge, toaster kettle and stove plate for cooking as well as utensils cutlery and crockery. There is one shared bathroom with a gorgeous tropical feeling with hot and cold water shower , basin and toilet . the back garden has place to relax and has some lovely special feature plants like a coffee Tree ,Curry leaf bush & chilies .In our front garden we are blessed to have the most delicious avocados on our avocado tree. Donna is the manager and Co-Host of the property and will assist with anything needed if so required during your stay
