Our property is on a former coconut plantation with a number of rustic cabanas of a traditional design that are made out of locally sourced materials. Each cabana comes with an ensuite, double or twin bed, mosquito net, fan, chill out patio and hammock. We have an on-site restaurant where you can try mouth watering Sri Lankan seafood and vegetable curries, fresh tropical juices and a variety of snacks. We organise a variety of tours in the local area. Our rates include free breakfast, free daily boat ride to kite spot (sand bar) and exclusive use of beach huts on sand bar and Vella Island.
Hi Machans ( friends)! My name is Susantha Fernando and I am Kalpitiya's first local kite surfer. I was born in Kalpitiya to a humble fishing family and have spent my entire life here.
I am a skilled boatsman and have an intimate knowledge of the local area from the most beautiful beaches, to far away islands, lagoons and best places to kite surf.
Having my own guest house and being able to show visitors my local area has been a dream!

Kalpitiya is a place where you can get away from it all and recharge from your busy lifestyles. You won't find a bustling nightlife or shopping centres here.
The local area is underdeveloped and idyllic, comprising coconut groves, lagoons, small villages, prawn farms, and salt pans. Wild donkeys still roam the dirt roads.
Nights are quiet where the silence of the lagoon is only occasionally disturbed by the sound of fish splashing. The skies are peppered with stars and the lagoon is full of plankton that glows blue at certain times of the year. The lagoon has a number of islands scattered around and the sunsets are magical.
