A wood-fired hot tub is available for an additional fee — please reserve it at least 3 days before arrival so we can heat it in time. Breakfast is available at a nearby farm, just a 10-minute walk away — a perfect way to start your day surrounded by nature. Surrounded by forest, meadows, and a nearby swamp lake, this is a peaceful spot for true nature lovers. Expect the full experience — including mosquitoes, horseflies, foxes, and the occasional snake or tick — so come prepared and dressed for the weather! A scenic 30-minute walk from the yurt leads to a beautiful swamp lake (the trail can be wet at the start). For swimming, the closest pond is 3 km away, or drive 12 km to the lovely Pīļu Lake beach. Within 10–15 km you’ll find scenic hiking trails, quiet skateparks, and pumptracks. In winter, skiing and cross-country trails are just 10 km away. Local perks: My neighbor offers breakfast and traditional Latvian dinners on request in her cozy garden café, and just down the road, you can buy fresh seasonal vegetables from a nearby farm.
