Al Markab means the boat in Arabic. It’s a traditional Moroccan house designed in a riad style. Located in Riad Zitoune JEDID district which is the most appreciated part in Marrakesh Medina ( old authentic city) Founded by the vizir Ba Ahmad who has been the tutor of the sultan Moulay Abdelaziz who was twelve years old,and the builder of the Bahia palace as his personal residence. Al Markab is in the front part of the house, entirely private,with a private terrace, entrance,kitchen and restrooms.Tradionnally designed,beautifully decorated,very well equipped and very comfortable. Largely spacious for four persons and convened for couples,families, and friends. The private terrace is a must to enjoy sunrise and sunset with an open captivating view of the Medina around and the snow covered Atlas mountains in the back.

I am Fawzy, a very open minded Moroccan who has been given birth and get all my life in marrakesh. All my guests without any distinction are very welcome in my property as in my hometown. I live in a personal private part in the back of my property and I will be present to provide all the necessary help and assistance to make of your stay a successful one.

The district of ALMARKAB location is Riad zitoune jedid, the most secure part of the Medina by it’s proximity with the royal official residence, the 4th police district and the building of Marrakesh Medina commune. Surrounded by the highlights of marrakesh monuments and at a short walking distance from the main square Jema elfna which is the heart of the action in the city. The koutoubia mosque, Al Bahia palace, Ahmed Al Mansour palace, the old Jewish quarter, Dar Si Said museum, Tiskiwin museum , the moroccan culinary museum, and a several touristic attractions are within a short walking distance from of ALMARKAB.
