The Kasbah district is the district of the Royal Palace. There are the Saadian Tombs, the mosque of the Kasbah or "mosque with golden apples" which was built in the twelfth century is the largest mosque in Marrakech after the Koutoubia, there is the door of Bab Agnaou which is one of the nineteen Bab (doors) of Marrakech and the most beautiful, it was built in the twelfth century.
The Kasbah is also the stork district, which likes it so much that they stay there year-round.
The Casbah is very touristy and popular with tourists, but remains quite authentic with many traditional shops.
