Villa Stari Mlin is a luxury holiday rental property in Montenegro, hidden away in the hilltops overlooking the Bay of Kotor. This 400 year-old olive mill has been fully restored and modernised to provide all the comforts of 21st century living, while retaining all the charm of its long history. Villa Stari Mlin is a traditional Montenegrin coastal farmhouse that contained a working olive press and was lived in not just by the farmer and his family (on the first floor), but also by his animals (on the ground floor). It was damaged by the earthquake that hit Montenegro in the late 1970s and lay derelict for several years before it was fully renovated in 2016. The village is a wonderful, friendly place, and we much prefer it's quieter way of life to the hustle and bustle of the busy coastal villages.

Having visited Montenegro in 2018, our family were captivated with the area, finding many parts reminiscent of our home countries of Scotland and New Zealand. Tony and Elaine fell in love with the 400 year-old heritage property immediately, (despite Elaine being unable to view the home prior to purchase!) and the decision to make this their holiday home to share with family and friends, is undoubtedly going to bring so much joy, to so many.
