Jean and James looks after the garden and the pool and we have a pest control company who comes in every month or so.

Four bedroom bungalow with private pool and garden, 500m (6mins) walk from the cozy beach of Grand Gaube. Enjoy a lovely local village vibe in this single-level home which is the perfect location to relax and unwind in a local setting. The bungalow is 15-20 minutes (by car) from the buzzing villages of Pereybere, Grand Baie and Goodlands where you may find all the necessary facilities such as supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, ATM, bakery, butchers. Ideal for 4 couples, group of friends or a large family with children. The bungalow features 4 bedrooms of which the master bedroom and another bedroom are ensuite, and two bedrooms share a separate bathroom and toilet. The four bedrooms are fully air conditioned with double beds and one has two single beds. There is a comfortable well designed living area and cosy terrace, private swimming pool with a spacious garden with a garden patio at the back of the house. Dining tables are set under the covered terraces with each an outdoor lounge and a charcoal barbecue will ensure wonderful social grilling moments. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine. A lady services the bungalow everyday from Monday to Saturday except public holidays and Sundays. The cable TV offers local and international channels. High speed internet (WIFI) is available in the house. This cottage is in a residential area - very local village of Grand Gaube. A car is essential if you wish to stay with us as - shops & restaurants are between 5-10 mins away in Calodyne. Local shops in the village. Grand Baie is 15-20 mins by car.

Grand-Gaube is an authentic fishing village in the North of Mauritius. It is the perfect place for those wishing to be away from the touristy, but crowded village of Grand-Baie and being only 15-20 minutes by car from it. It has a vast lagoon ideal for kitesurfing aficionados and water-sports enthusiasts. We highly recommend walks along the beautiful stretch of beach in the morning or at sunset, as this is when the light is best to appreciate the scenery (and to capture those amazing photographs). There is a kite-surfing school (for beginners to more advanced) less than a minute walk away from the bungalow. In Calodyne, 5 mins by car, you will find a supermarket, a wonderful pastry shop, a fruit & vegetables marker, pharmacy and a butcher's shop. In the village itself, you may find a local shop which will provide all the basic needs. A car is highly essential ! Having a car is essential if you stay with us. Public transports are not that reliable and do not operate in the evenings. The bus stop is 15 mins walk from the cottage. Within walking distance (10 mins approx), you will find local supermarkets, a pharmacy, restaurants including those of two hotels nearby. Renting a car is recommended, especially so that you may visit the island. The capital, Port-Louis, is a 45 minute drive from the bungalow (avoiding peak hours ). In Calodyne you also have a supermarket (Intermart), butcher, fruit & vegetable shop and a pastry shop as well as 2 restaurants.
