Casa Abeii is part of a project to raise awareness of native Mayan bees. These bees are stingless and are a fundamental part of the preservation of the jungle due to their important role in pollination. In the garden you will find a “jobon” that is a house for these bees, we want you to live the experience of being in contact with them (they will not sting you and they are not invasive) they have lived for centuries with the Mayan people, their honey is considered as medicine for this culture! I am a lover of melipona bees and I feel privileged to live in this beautiful State rich in biodiversity, history and culture. I love and protect our mother earth and right now I have a project to disseminate and conserve native Mayan bees. I love dealing with people and making them feel at home

Xul Ha is a quiet town where you can find grocery stores. It is 10 minutes from Bacalar and 20 minutes from Chetumal International Airport. You can get there with your own car or by taxi. You have private access to the Bacalar lagoon (exactly in the blue cenote, which feeds the lagoon).
