Pantai Puteri is surrounded by a small fishing village and the beach is gaining popularity as a family friendly beach for leisure. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and suitable for those who seek tranquility and for those who love to be around the friendly locals. There is a Fishermen Market along the beach which sell the freshest catch of the day around 9am or 4 to 6pm daily. There's also a Pasar Tani (Farmer's Market) every weekend morning offering local fruits and vegetables and variety of breakfast menu. If you happen to be around on sunday after 4pm, don't miss the Pasar Malam Pantai Puteri (Night Market) which gathered more than 50 stalls offering spread of local delights until 9pm. Melaka Town (Bandar Hilir) where the historic A Famosa Fort, Stadhuys Building, Melaka River, Jonker Walk, Taming Sari Tower resides, are just 30 minutes drive (9km) from Pantai Puteri.
