We love being creative and being inspired by other interesting people, meeting new friends from across the globe and sharing stories. We love to share our space with people who have appreciation for art and creativity and love good food! We have a very unconventional place, and tourists appreciate the story behind the scenes, and the surprise of the lovely rooms that were former backstage dressing rooms.

The largest theater, seat wise in Namibia was dormant for years. The theater was built in 1962, and is still preserved, complete with 535 retro red seats. With a lot of creative ingenuity the historic building was transformed into a Restaurant and Guest House. The initial 4 guest rooms are the former backstage dressing rooms that are beautifully renovated from scratch, we have also added 6 new rooms. We aim to provide a unique, yet homely environment for overnight visitors, including tourists, rep’s and business travelers. "We want to share the beauty and rich history of our old jewel with visitors who love antiquities & art and are fond of romancing bygone eras."

The TeaterHuis is situated 100m from the Tsumeb Museum and is located in the beautiful United Nations Park where guests can take a stroll or have a picnic. The Town of Tsumeb is also known for its rich mining history and the old mine shaft is situated in the same street as the TeaterHuis. There are other tourists attractions in the vicinity such as the crash site of the meteorite.
