Company information

The White House was formally opened by Rudolf and Kinna de Wet as a guest farm in 1998, and in 2012, celebrated it’s centenary.  Rudolf's father Dantie and mother Febe had four sons: Gideon, Pieter, Francois and Rudolf.  After they retired, Rudolf continued farming – he is now the third generation on Mickberg. Rudolf and Kinna have been blessed with 3 children: Dolf(jnr) is married to Nita (Vosloo), they joined Rudolf and Kinna in November 2015 on the farm;  Niekie is married to Albert van der Merwe of Noordoewer; and last but not least Febe, who is living in Cape Town, South Africa. So the original vision of  Frederich Haschke for a new life, happiness, love and other festivities lives on!

Neighbourhood information

The White House is 115 km from the Fish River-Canyon (C12), and 125 km from Ai-Ais hotsprings (C10), a nice day trip. The area is know for a succulent plant called Lithops (beeskloutjies). More specifically the Mickberg-gensis, a sub specie of the Karasmontana group can be found on this farm. We also have a Rose Quartz Mine on the farm and scheduled day trips can be booked in advance. R300 per person.
