I am a Dutchman, in Nicaragua since 1998. I bought this 3000 M2 lot in 2001. Over the years I built the 9 units, besides working as an HR manager in Managua. It is called Cabañas Lobotepe. Together with my partner Liz (freelance professional), I live on the property. We enjoy daily the views and continue improving the rustic ambiance of the garden and houses. We like to dance salsa, walk along the beach, travel frequently and enjoy live. I travel a lot, due to which I am not always present at the premises. However, the caretakers (Fernando, Rebeca and Dennis) who are responsible for the maintenance of the houses, cleaning and gardening, are there to help you and should be able to solve most of your problems. In case you want to contact me personally, I am always available by phone or email. It is also possible to ask one of the caretakers to call me, so that we can talk directly on the phone. When I am present you can always stop by for a chat I love to meet new people and share my knowledge about Nicaragua.

This apartment, named Trono, is part of an intimate rustic resort, Cabañas Lobotepe, located on a hill near the pier of San Juan (more rental options available!). The apartment is 45m2 and has a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom area, bathroom, living room with 1pp sofa bed + small bathroom and a 20m2 covered terrace with views over the bay of SJdS. It is surrounded by fruit trees and tropical plants at only 200m from the bay and 350m from the restaurants area. Private parking included. Small shops at 50m.

Cabañas Lobotepe is located in the fishermen quarter behind the docks on the southern side of the Bay. Just 2 blocks away from the bay of San Juan del Sur and another 200m to the restaurant area on the beach. The people in this neighborhood hare very friendly and they mainly live outside (please do take into account that you could hear some noise from the street during the day and in the evening). You will find some small shops within 50m where you can buy your basic food and drinks and even fresh fish! Easy to reach from the center of town by foot and car, during day and night. You can walk in less than 10 minutes to the restaurant area and the market and in 5 minutes to the port-area where you can buy fresh fish the whole day. Taxis to and from the center cost 20 Córdoba’s (USD 0.66) per person and can be found around Casa Oro, at 3 blocks from your apartment. The buses to Rivas and Managua leave opposite of the municipal market, 1 block from the Church Square. Direct buses to Managua leave at 5am and 6am. For private trips to the beaches and to other cities in Nicaragua, we can recommend the taxi driver Mr. Jose Aviles.
