Holiday home Platz an der Sonne has a living area of approximately 80 m² and is both cozy and practical, accommodating up to 6 people. On the ground floor, you’ll find a comfortable living room with an open kitchen equipped with a coffee maker, oven, and microwave. From the living room, there’s direct access to the covered terrace. Additionally, there’s one of the three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet on this level. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, one of which has its own balcony. Both rooms are furnished with two single beds. (Outdoor Space:) The holiday home features a lovely garden surrounding the property, providing sheltered spots to enjoy the outdoors. The garden borders a fish-rich canal, and parking is available right by the house. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog. Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. At the beach, in the small resort ‘de Skâns’ and in Esonstad - which is a holiday resort build as a replica of a typical old Frysian city. Oostmahorn is an old stronghold at the at the western side of the Lauwerslake with a rich history, dating back to the sixteenth century. Nowadays it’s a very pleasant tourist destination at the National Park Lauwersmeer, hosting several holiday resorts. The lake itself and the direct surroundings are a true paradise for nature lovers, fisherman, bird watchers, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Dogs are more than welcome here as well. There’s a special beach and a forest for them at Lauwersoog. Within a couple of hundreds of meters there are several playgrounds for children. In Esonstad you can easily do your daily groceries (a bigger supermarkt is just a couple of kilometers away in Anjum) or find a restaurant, pizzeria or a snackbar. Another three restaurants are even closer to your holiday house. Some of them offer spectacular lake views. Other good options to enjoy the local seafood cuisine are the sea harbor of Lauwersoog at the northern side of the lake, the old fishing village of Zoutkamp at the eastside of the lake or at Dokkum, the most northern fortified city of Friesland. To discover the National Park from the waterside you could bring your own boat or surf gear but there are boats and sailing boats for rent as well at ‘Paviljoen La Barca’. A boat-tour, or seal expedition can be booked around the corner and a ferry to the beautiful island of Schiermonnikoog, with it’s many miles of sandy beaches, is leaving from Oostmahorn as well. With the title Dark Sky Park, in Lauwersmeer National Park you can truly experience nature in the dark!
