Do you like the city but also like some peace and quiet after a busy day? Enjoy your Amsterdam experience in our B&B! It's located NOT in the city centre but on a characteristic dike in A'dam-Noord, best of both worlds! A beautiful 20 minute trip by bicycle and ferry brings you in the city centre. Our house dates from the beginning of 1899 and was originally a butchershop. In 2017 we have completely renovated the building and created a cosy and nicely decorated guestroom. The room has a private bathroom and kitchenette and is 23m2 meters (this is without the attic where you will be sleeping!). It is recently completely renovated, everything is new!

We are Niels and Merel. We are both 41 years old and we're living in Amsterdam together with our two children (7 and 4), our cat and 4 chicken (fresh eggs for breakfast!)! We've travelled a lot around the world. Last destinations were South Korea, San Fransisco and West Australia. We are blessed to raise two children:-). But havind children means that we are fixed to schedules and holiday seasons and aren't able to travel whenever and wherever we want. So... we decided to keep traveling 'closeby' and started a B&B in our beautiful dijkhuis' which we renovated in 2017. We turned the old butchershop in a beautifull homestay. We love to have quests and we always try to make sure our guests have the best time possible. So... We wish you a very warm welcome at our B&B 'At the Butchers'!

The location of the B&B is ideal! NOT in the busy city centre but in a peacefull, quiet and especially green area, 20 minutes (push) bike from the urban centre of Amsterdam. The beautiful nature reserve 't Twiske' is only 10 minutes push biking, so best of both worlds! In summer we swim in the river opposite to our house in wintertime we love ti check out the city and all his lovely restaurants and pubs. You will love it!
