Middenbeemster is a cute village in the center of the UNESCO landmark “ The Beemster Polder. The village has a dozen shops including a large Supermarket. All at 300 meters from the house. There are also 6 restaurants in the village. The Beemster Museum is around the corner. The house is in a quiet area in the old part of town. Free parking on the parking places on the street. The nearest windmill is at 5 km. In April there are the flower fields around the village.the area is also great for walking and biking. There are bicycle roads everywhere. At 4 km there is a large golf course.
The city of Purmerend, 100.000 inhabitants,is at 6 km. Is has a nice carfree downtown area with lots of shops, restaurants and bars.
The nearest Northsea Beach is at 35 km. Amsterdam beach ( Zandvoort)is at 50 km. Volendam is at
16 km. The island of Marken at 26 km.
And then there is Amsterdam, with the downtown at 32 km. There is a great bus connection to Amsterdam downtown
